Over the years, Crystals Structures has worked on numerous projects in New Orleans and surrounding Louisiana communities. Crystal Structures recently worked on an interesting project that is not only saving a historic building but will soon offer luxury living for New Orleans seniors. Healthcare group, Liberty Senior Living, along with Felicity Property Co. plans to develop a new senior living community in the historic Carrollton Courthouse located at 701 S. Carrollton Avenue.

The two-story courthouse was built in 1855 by architect Henry Howard and features a Greek revival exterior. Once renovated, the courthouse, turned senior living community will provide 73 assisted living and 20 memory care units for seniors in the New Orleans area.

Crystal Structures was selected to replace the historic building’s skylight and our Saddle Ridgelite metal-framed skylight was chosen as the best solution.¬†Saddle Ridgelites are the most economical form of metal framed skylights. Because the skylight straddles the building rooftop, there is no need for curbing. ¬†And, since there are no end walls, the glazing and framing costs are much less.
