The community was named after Ruben Branson, postmaster, and operator of a general store in the area in the 1880s. At the Silver Dollar City attraction, visitors can go back to the time of Ruben Branson and see what life was like.
In the city of Branson, there are many fun shopping excursions. The Chappy Mall is just one of many destinations. If you look up at the heart of the mall you’ll see an oval skylight with clerestories built by Crystal Structures. The skylight measures 35′ x 17′ with fanned ends forming an oval shape. The vertical windows lead up to a smaller oval skylight and the entire unit is topped with a spire.
